
Thiwalrat led the Religious Committee in mourning during the memorial chanting ceremony for seven dhutanga monks who passed away at Wat Nam Khun in Ubon Ratchathani, and also visited an ill monk at Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital.
On 7 July 2026, reporters reported that the Parliamentary Commission on Religion, Arts and Culture, responsible for patronizing and protecting Buddhism, led by Ms. Thiwalrat Angkinan, chairperson of the commission; Mr. Somsak Boonprachom, commissioner and advisor; Ms. Phattharawadee Niroth, secretary; and Ms. Phirom Charoenrung, head of the commission's department, jointly performed merit-making and presented offerings during the memorial chanting ceremony for seven monks on 6 July 2026 at Wat Nam Khun, Nam Khun District, Ubon Ratchathani, following a road accident involving dhutanga monks in Mukdahan Province.
Mr. Phusit Noisopakorn, Deputy Governor of Ubon Ratchathani, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by the monastic community, Ms. Jittrawan Wangsupakijkosol, regional government officials, local administrative organizations, and the public. The seven monks who passed away were all affiliated with temples in Nam Khun District, Ubon Ratchathani.

The chairperson of the Religious Committee said she came to Wat Nam Khun with the commission to express condolences and planned to visit monks injured in the accident who are receiving treatment at Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani City District. The commission expressed its sympathy and concern and affirmed its commitment to supporting and protecting Buddhism to the best of their ability.
