Tourism Minister Surasak joined forces with Madam Pang to present the FA Thailand Awards 2025/26 and push forward the Youth League, rolling out youth leagues nationwide to build a professional football ecosystem in Thailand.
7 July 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul Minister of Tourism and Sports, together with Mrs. Nawaporn Lamsam, also known as Madam Pang, President of the Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, jointly chaired and posed for commemorative photos at the FA Thailand Awards 2025/2026 honor ceremony. The event took place in Pavilion A, 8th floor, The Grand Four Wings Convention Hotel, Bangkok, amid a joyful atmosphere with executives, football personnel, and media representatives attending in full.
Minister Surasak said in his opening remarks that on behalf of the government, there is confidence that football is not merely a competition for victory on the field but a mass sport with great significance for human resource development, community growth, and social unity. The government therefore prioritizes strengthening the Thai football ecosystem, especially investing in youth as a crucial foundation for growing quality citizens.
At the same time, the Minister announced a proactive policy to promote a concrete nationwide Youth League (youth football league) initiative, stating "Soon, the government will announce a major collaboration with the Football Association of Thailand, led by its president, and partners to support youth football comprehensively—from grassroots and all age groups, spanning subdistrict, provincial, to national levels."
The project's key goal is to provide every Thai child, whether in urban or remote areas, access to standardized football opportunities and continuous competition platforms, creating an ecosystem that supports progression to professional football or future national team representation. This is viewed as establishing true sustainability for Thai football.
"I especially commend Mrs. Nawaporn Lamsam, president of the Football Association of Thailand, for her continuous efforts and dedication to Thai football, as well as all clubs and sectors involved in laying the foundations for developing new players. Clubs focusing on youth are vital drivers in realizing Thai children's football dreams."
In closing, Minister Surasak congratulated all award recipients and encouraged all personnel in Thai football to collaborate in raising standards steadily, inspiring youth and bringing joy and pride to the entire nation.
