
The Anti-Corruption Commission's committee advances its investigation into local government exam fraud, summoning the President of Srinakharinwirot University and key agencies to present information on 9 July, vowing to prosecute to the fullest extent.
On 8 July 2026 at the Parliament, Mr. Asapol Sontraipob, chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) committee of the House of Representatives, revealed that in the committee meeting on 9 July 2026, there will be a review of corruption in local government civil servant or employee recruitment exams to obtain clear information. The ACC committee has invited representatives from four related agencies to provide information as follows.
1. Director-General of the Department of Local Administration Promotion.
2. Chairman of the Central Examination Committee for Local Government Employees.
3. President of Srinakharinwirot University.
4. Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Organization (Thailand).
Mr. Asapol also stated the position on this matter: The Bhumjaithai Party meeting has made a clear resolution that all offenders must be prosecuted to the fullest extent. Anyone involved in corruption must face legal action regardless of their position or rank, as no one is above the law.
