Prime Minister Receives Report on NACC Raid of Former Deputy Directors Condo Linked to Local Official Exam Corruption

Urgent: The Prime Minister has received a report that the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) jointly raided the condominium of a former deputy director of the Department of Local Administration over allegations of manipulating the TOR for local official exams.

On 8 July 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke to the media regarding the hot topic following reports that the NACC, in cooperation with officers from the Central Investigation Bureau, conducted a raid on the condominium of a former deputy director of the Department of Local Administration.

The raid stems from allegations that the former deputy director played a significant role in drafting the terms of reference (TOR) for the competitive examinations to recruit local government officials, with suspicions that the process was manipulated to provide undue advantages and involve corruption.

The Prime Minister briefly acknowledged that he has been informed of the operation and the raid. He added that details and progress of the case, including any further developments, will await official clarification from the responsible authorities.
