"Chadchart and Bangkok Council" received their certification letters, declaring readiness to start work immediately. They ordered the unveiling of a 100-day strategic plan with 261 projects, aimed at addressing corruption issues, flood problems, and PM2.5 pollution, and called for an executive meeting this afternoon.,
At 08:30 on 9 Jul 2026, Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt arrived at the Election Commission Office at the Government Complex on Chaeng Watthana Road to officially receive his certificate confirming his election as Governor of Bangkok, at the building's second-floor hall.
After the Election Commission officially certified the results on 7 Jul 2026, Lieutenant Ritt Sumpan Saengkamlaert, Director of the Bangkok Election Office, personally presented the election certificate (Form Ph.Th. 6/4) to Mr. Chadchart amid a cheerful atmosphere. Several Bangkok Council members from various districts greeted and took photos with him.
The Election Commission Office invited all elected officials—both the Governor and 50 Bangkok Council members—to receive their certificates (Form Ph.Th./S.Th. 6/4) at the second-floor hall starting from 09:00 onward, enabling them to use these documents to report for duty and begin administrative responsibilities for Bangkok.
Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt expressed his pleasure to return to public service, thanking the Election Commission for their swift and efficient certification process. He affirmed his readiness to begin work immediately, noting many pending issues require attention.
Regarding the 100-day strategic plan, Mr. Chadchart said approximately 261 projects will be converted into a clear strategic plan, each with progress targets as forecasted, covering infrastructure, economic systems, and transparency.
On issues raised during the campaign, such as sexual harassment allegations within agencies, he said all must be followed up, including corruption in the electric train project, migrant labor, and waste management issues.
When asked about urgent goals after assuming office, Mr. Chadchart said several matters arose during his absence that need review to improve, especially urgent public concerns like flooding and PM2.5 pollution. Transparency issues, which he has emphasized repeatedly, and problems like flooding in tunnels and waste at On Nut landfill, part of Bangkok's management, are also priorities.
Asked whether transparency issues require new reforms, Mr. Chadchart affirmed that the current path is correct. He reiterated that allegations regarding appointments involving bribery are unfounded and emphasized this point repeatedly.
Mr. Chadchart also addressed infrastructure problems in old city areas, notably electrical construction causing disturbances and potentially affecting old drainage pipes. He ordered data collection on old shophouses over 45-50 years old for detailed inspection.
Regarding relations with the Bangkok Council, Mr. Chadchart said cooperation remains unchanged since all are elected by the people. He emphasized respect and listening to council members, as they serve all districts equally, focusing on collaboration and prioritizing public benefit in budgeting.
Mr. Chadchart mentioned calling a meeting of Bangkok executives this afternoon (9 Jul) to address several urgent issues, especially policy planning.
He highlighted transparency in information disclosure and reviewing unresolved problems during the election transition, assuring nothing will be concealed. He also plans to consider policies from all candidates to adapt them into the work plan.
