Je Set responded immediately to the Facebook page "Big Krien" after social media reports suggested the entertainment venue might reopen, firmly stating, "It is not reopening," and stressing continued strict monitoring and law enforcement.
At 4:00 p.m. on 12 July 2026, Je Set Thaiset, Deputy Minister of Interior (MoI 3), commented on the Facebook page "Big Krien" following social media claims that an entertainment venue in Nakhon Pathom, previously shut down by a special operations team from the Department of Provincial Administration, might reopen on 13 July 2026. Je Set responded promptly, stating, "It is not reopening."
Je Set ordered the Nakhon Pathom provincial administration, Mueang Nakhon Pathom district, and related agencies to closely monitor the situation and watch for any illegal reopening of the venue, ensuring strict law enforcement and preventing any attempts to evade the law.
This situation originated from a 12:30 a.m. operation on 20 June 2026, when Je Set led a special operations team from the Department of Provincial Administration to conduct "Check-in The Airport," inspecting The Airport venue in Wang Taku subdistrict, Mueang district, Nakhon Pathom. This followed complaints from residents about unauthorized operation and drug use within the establishment.
The raid inspected 377 patrons, with 76 testing positive for drugs. Authorities took legal action against those involved and ordered the venue's closure. The operation received praise from local residents for effectively responding to community complaints and addressing issues affecting local peace and order.
According to reports from the local administration in Mueang Nakhon Pathom and related agencies, closure orders were posted again at the venue. Surveillance and monitoring were intensified after information indicated possible attempts to resume operations. Authorities prepared to enforce the law strictly to prevent violations of official closure orders.
Je Set stated that law enforcement must be continuous—not just a one-time raid or closure. Follow-up is essential to prevent repeat offenses. If illegal reopening or attempts to evade the law occur—such as changing the business name, legal entity, or using others to operate—the authorities will take decisive legal action and pursue all involved parties without exception.
