Kuwait Embassy Warns Thais to Avoid Risk Areas and Refrain from Taking Photos After Iran Launches Attacks

The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait warns Thai nationals to strictly follow safety recommendations issued by relevant agencies following Iran's initiation of attacks, advising them to avoid traveling to risk areas and to refrain from recording images during the incidents.

On 12 July 2026, following the Iranian military's launch of attacks on U.S. military targets in Kuwait and Bahrain at a total of 85 locations, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait issued the following announcement.

1. The Army’s General Staff of Kuwait issued a statement that the air defense system intercepted threatening objects that entered the country's airspace this morning (12 July 2026). The explosions heard in some areas resulted from these interceptions. They also urged the public to strictly comply with safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

2. The embassy emphasizes that Kuwaiti authorities have successfully maintained internal peace, allowing citizens to live their daily lives normally. Thai nationals are urged to closely follow updates from the embassy's official channels and Kuwaiti government agencies, avoid traveling to risk areas such as military bases, and strictly follow Kuwaiti authorities' safety instructions in the event of any attacks.

3. The embassy requests cooperation in refraining from recording or broadcasting photos or videos during attack events or sharing such footage in public media without authorization, as this constitutes a violation of Kuwaiti law.

4. In case of emergency, Thai nationals can contact the embassy at the emergency phone number 60719888.
