Prime Minister Expresses Condolences to Families of Fire Victims at Lat Phrao Brewery, Orders Urgent Cause Investigation

The Prime Minister expressed condolences to the families of those who died in the Lat Phrao brewery fire, ordered an urgent investigation into the cause, and emphasized that all agencies must fully assist the families of the deceased and the injured.

On 13 July 2026, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that following the fire at a brewery and restaurant establishment in Lat Phrao last night, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul immediately visited the site upon hearing the news. He deeply expressed sympathy to the families of the victims and instructed relevant agencies to promptly and thoroughly investigate the fire's cause. He also ordered forensic officials to swiftly examine the fire's origin, identify the cause, facilitate the families of the deceased and injured, and coordinate all related agencies to provide full assistance.

Ms. Ratchada stated that preliminary information from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reports the fire resulted in 27 deaths—9 men and 18 women—and 18 injuries, including 8 severe, 7 moderate, and 3 minor cases. All injured were transported to hospitals for treatment. Police, forensic doctors, and related agencies are currently investigating the scene and identifying the deceased. Families of victims are urged to use the coordination center established by Bangkok to follow official updates, reducing confusion and preventing misinformation.
