Ruttaphon Denies Parit’s Allegation, Says Senate Vote-Rigging Case Sent Based on Evidence

The Minister of Justice stated that the Senate vote-rigging case has been forwarded based on the evidence, responding to Parit’s complaint about delays, noting that they must wait for the Election Commission’s review as well.

At 09:10 on 13 Jul 2026 at the Government House, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ruttaphon Nawarat, Minister of Justice, addressed MP Parit Watcharasindhu of the People’s Party list, who questioned the Department of Special Investigation’s (DSI) slow progress on the Senate vote-rigging case. Ruttaphon said the case, connected to gang-related crimes and money laundering, has had its files sent to the prosecutors, who have returned them. He confirmed that actions are underway within the legal framework.

Regarding Parit’s concern that too few suspects have been charged, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ruttaphon said the evidence only supports charging that number. He added that the prosecutors returned the case because they must wait for the Election Commission’s findings, and no further actions can be taken before that.
