Government Brings Fruits from Four Regions to Lan Khon Muang Market Serving Bangkokians Until 16 July

The government is hosting the event "Thailand: The Land of Tropical Fruits," inviting Bangkok residents to shop for premium-grade fresh fruits delivered directly from farms to consumers at Lan Khon Muang.

On 13 July 2026, Second Lieutenant Phatdarasmi Thongsaluaykorn, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, announced that the government invites the public to attend "Thailand: The Land of Tropical Fruits" under the concept Fresh From Farm: The Wonders of Fruits from Four Regions. This event is a collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, through the Department of Cooperative Promotion, and the Ministry of Commerce, through the Department of Internal Trade. It is held from 12–16 July 2026 at Lan Khon Muang, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Building.

The purpose of this event is to provide a central urban venue where the public can purchase high-quality fruits and safe agricultural products directly from farmers at fair prices without intermediaries. This helps expand market access and genuinely increase income for Thai farmers. The event features renowned and distinctive fruits from all four regions, including Geographical Indication (GI) products, safe agricultural goods meeting Q standards, and processed products from cooperatives, farmer groups, and community enterprises nationwide at more than 50 booths. Featured items include Golden Longan, Phu Lae Pineapple, Thung Chang Rambutan, Volcano Durian, Pa La U Durian, Mangosteen, Ruby Siam Pomelo, White Pomelo, Coconut, and Golden Banana.

Second Lieutenant Phatdarasmi added that beyond retail sales, the government is also focusing on long-term growth by organizing Business Matching activities from 14–15 July 2026. This provides opportunities for representatives of cooperatives and farmers to negotiate trade with major buyers, including modern trade groups, hotels, and leading private sector companies, helping to broaden and sustain the market for Thai fruits.

"The government invites the public to support Thai fruits and quality agricultural products from farmers nationwide, to purchase fresh produce at fair prices, and to be part of supporting farmers' income and driving strong grassroots economic growth from now until 16 July 2026 at Lan Khon Muang, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Building," said Second Lieutenant Phatdarasmi.
