Pawat Emphasizes No Involvement in Forex Case, Questions DSIs Unusually Swift Investigation

Pawat emphasized that he is not involved in the Forex case and is ready to prove the facts through the justice system. He believes the public is questioning the unusually expedited case handling that seems suspicious.

On 13 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Pawat Pongwittayapanu, a party-list MP from the People’s Party, posted on Facebook that last week he had provided information to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) as a "witness". He fully cooperated with the officials and is currently gathering and preparing additional information to ensure all facts are clear and complete.

However, at the same time, widespread rumors emerged about potential arrests of individuals linked to the case, including references to him. These reports surprised and deeply concerned him because throughout his business career, he has never been involved in scams, money laundering, or any fraudulent activities targeting the public.

He therefore firmly stated that he is not involved in the alleged wrongdoing and is ready to present all information, documents, and evidence to prove the facts within the justice process.

He understands that transitioning from business to politics naturally invites scrutiny, criticism, and resistance. However, his decision to enter politics was driven by a desire to use his knowledge, experience, and skills to contribute to national progress and benefit the people.

At the same time, he believes many citizens question the standards and speed of this case’s proceedings, especially compared to other major cases affecting society’s sentiments that have taken much longer. This case’s unusually swift progress raises public suspicions about whether other motives are involved.

For individuals who have cooperated fully with authorities and complied with legal processes, there should be no need for excessive measures or actions that cause public alarm.

He reiterated his readiness to undergo scrutiny, prove the truth, and cooperate completely with officials, hoping that the process will be straightforward, fair, and free from interference or political manipulation.

“I am confident that once all facts are revealed, the truth will provide clear answers to society,” he said.
