Royal Gazette Announces Resignation of Pipats Younger Brother from Bhumjaithai Party MP Seat Poonsuk Phosu to Succeed

The Royal Gazette published an announcement that Piboon Ratchakitprakarn, younger brother of Deputy Prime Minister Pipat, has resigned as a Bhumjaithai Party MP, with Poonsuk Phosu, wife of Teacher Kaew, promoted to fill the position.


On 13 July 2026, the Royal Gazette website published a House of Representatives announcement regarding the promotion of the next candidate on a party list to become an MP to fill a vacant seat.

Referring to the House of Representatives announcement dated 17 April 2026, which declared that Mr. Piboon Ratchakitprakarn, ranked 22nd on the Bhumjaithai Party list, had been promoted to MP, as published in the Royal Gazette on 17 April 2026.


Now, Mr. Piboon Ratchakitprakarn has submitted a letter resigning from his position as a member of the House of Representatives.

Effective from 8 July 2026, this resignation terminates Mr. Piboon Ratchakitprakarn’s membership.

This follows Section 101 (3) of the 2017 Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand.


Therefore, under the authority of Section 105 (2) of the 2017 Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, it is announced that Mrs. Poonsuk Phosu, ranked 25th on the Bhumjaithai Party list, is promoted to become a member of the House of Representatives to fill the vacancy.
