"Yotsing" is closely tracking the case of a father sexually abusing his 12-year-old daughter, coordinating with the Paveena Foundation and police to apprehend the suspect and oppose bail to prevent witness tampering and interference with evidence.
On 13 July 2026 GMT+7, Sergeant Major Yotsing Liemlert, Deputy Leader of the Kla Tham Party, along with Mr. Chaiwat Paopiamsap, Member of Parliament for Chachoengsao District 3 from the same party, visited the area to follow up on the disturbing case of a 12-year-old girl sexually abused by her biological father in Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province. They acted immediately after receiving a complaint from the victim's family, declaring they would not allow the case to be forgotten even for a single day.
The latest update, following close coordination between Sergeant Major Yotsing, Mrs. Paveena Hongsakul, Chairperson of the Paveena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women, and Police Colonel Bandit Thammanan, Superintendent of Bang Pakong Police Station, is that authorities have successfully arrested the father, who is the suspect under an arrest warrant. He is scheduled to be detained and presented to the court on 13 July 2026 GMT+7, with motions filed to oppose any bail in all cases for the child's highest safety and to prevent the suspect from tampering with evidence.
Beyond legal proceedings, Sergeant Major Yotsing has coordinated with government agencies to urgently provide assistance to the victim, including Ms. Jiphaporn Tamchu, Director of the Office for Financial Assistance to Victims and Defendants in Criminal Cases (Director of OFAVDC), Department of Rights and Liberties Protection, Ministry of Justice; Ms. Benyapha Thongsamrit, Justice Officer of Chachoengsao Province; Ms. Piyanat Phulphipat, Provincial Social Development and Human Security Officer (SDHS) of Chachoengsao; and Mr. Panupol Thongdee, Head of the Child and Family Shelter in Chachoengsao Province.
This integrated effort focuses on ensuring the victim’s legal rights to compensation, closely supporting the psychological rehabilitation of the girl, and providing long-term family assistance until she can resume a normal life.
Sergeant Major Yotsing stated firmly that this incident deeply shocks society because the danger comes from someone closest to the child, whom she should trust the most. The home should be the safest place for children, as it is the starting point of every life and the first place where a child should learn love, warmth, and trust—not a place that instills fear. Safety at home is not a private matter to be overlooked by society. Whenever a child is harmed, we all have a duty to stop the violence, not ignore warning signs, and not allow the phrase "family matters" to become a barrier that conceals wrongdoing against children.
The deputy leader of the Kla Tham Party reaffirmed the party's commitment to closely monitor the situation and justice process until the end. The mission does not end with merely imprisoning the offender; the core objective is to restore the child's sense of safety, ensure justice is served, and enable her to grow up in society with dignity. This reflects the party’s working principle: "Act genuinely, solve truly, stand by the people," especially when the victims are vulnerable groups such as children and youth.
