Pattana Visits Fire Victims at Brewery, Sends MCATT Team for Psychological Support

The Minister of Public Health is monitoring the condition of those injured in the nightclub fire and has ordered their transfer to specialized burn units for treatment.

On 13 July 2026 at Rajavithi Hospital, Bangkok, Mr. Pattana Prompat, Minister of Public Health, visited and followed up on patients injured in the fire incident at the "Brewery at Ladprao" nightclub in the Ladprao area. He also provided an update on medical care for those affected, reporting that 74 injured people have been admitted across 17 hospitals. Recently, one more patient died in hospital, raising the death toll from the incident to 28.

Among the injured, 32 patients with minor injuries (green category) have been discharged, while 41 patients remain hospitalized, including 27 in critical condition (red category) and 14 with moderate injuries (yellow category).

At Rajavithi Hospital, under the Department of Medical Services, there are currently 8 patients: 6 in red category, 1 yellow, and 1 green. Today, red category patients were transferred to specialized burn units at network hospitals for advanced care: one patient each to Lerdsin Hospital, Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital, and Thammasat Chalermprakiat Hospital. The green category patient was discharged, leaving Rajavithi with 3 red and 1 yellow patients under care.

Beyond physical treatment, Mr. Pattana said the Department of Mental Health has dispatched a seven-member Mental Health Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (MCATT) from Srithanya Hospital, including doctors, clinical psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, public health academics, and staff. They have established a joint operation center with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Health Service Center 51 at the MRT Ladprao command post to promptly assess the mental health of those directly affected and witnesses.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health sent an Environmental Health Response Team (SEhRT) to assess environmental impacts alongside Chatuchak District Office. Preliminary checks within approximately 100 meters of the incident site found no residents affected by residual smoke or unpleasant odors.

Nevertheless, officials have provided environmental health advice and health protection guidelines to the surrounding community and distributed N95 masks to nearby residents to ensure maximum safety during this period.
