“Nene Royal” opens up about her dream to become a global artist and hold concert tours, admits she never realized her level of fame, and firmly confirms she is 100% Thai after Cambodia claimed her identity.
On 14 July 2026, after Ms. Rattikan Amloy (Nene Royal), a young Thai artist from Phuket, gained fame for representing Thailand by showcasing her musical talent on the global stage in American's Got Talent, performing a song to the Prime Minister and officials, the event concluded.
Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Minister of Tourism, revealed that the Prime Minister, after seeing Nene’s performance video on 8 July while on duty in Malaysia, recognized the honor she brought to the country and immediately instructed the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to find ways to support and promote her. This led to today’s event, with the government covering all competition expenses and helping to publicize her to encourage Americans to vote for Nene.
Nene Royal said she asks Thai people to follow her social media channels and to support her with encouragement.
When asked if she was surprised by her sudden fame, Nene said she still hasn’t realized how famous she has become; it happened too quickly. Her life has changed a lot, and wherever she goes, people recognize her. She joked that now she can’t even buy meatballs anymore.
Her ultimate dream is to become a global artist, create her own music, and hold concert tours. She currently has two or three songs ready and asks everyone to look forward to their release soon.
When asked why she emphasizes being from Phuket rather than just Thailand, Nene said she wants everyone to know she is a Southerner from Phuket. Regarding claims that she is Cambodian, she reiterated that she is from Phuket, Thailand, and is 100% Thai with no other ancestry.
