Anutin said he did not know the man dressed like a soldier who was causing confusion by giving contradictory information during the brewery fire site visit. He asked, “In what capacity did he come?” and noted that if the man was an expert, that would be acceptable.
On 14 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the controversy concerning a man dressed like a soldier who followed him during his visit to the brewery fire scene in Lat Phrao on the night of the incident. The man reportedly told the media that customers had to pay before leaving the establishment, despite not being present at the actual event. Anutin said the scene was full of official personnel, and although he did not see the man, the individual was beside him providing information, especially to reporters. He questioned the man's official status and whether he was a government officer, which he did not know. However, if the man was an expert providing useful information, Anutin said that was acceptable. He added he was unaware if the man's actions were illegal or if there was a law regulating the wearing of such uniforms, as he had not seen it.
