
The Cabinet resolved to rotate Yutthika Isarangkul Na Ayudhya to the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and appoint Chotika Akkaritkosopakul as Director-General of the Department of Cultural Promotion, while extending Phanombut Chantrachot's term as Director-General of the Fine Arts Department for one more year.
On 14 July 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwivatthana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the Cabinet approved the Ministry of Culture's proposal to appoint senior executive officials within the Ministry as follows.
1. Rotation of two officials.
(1) Ms. Yutthika Isarangkul Na Ayudhya Position: Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture. She will assume the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry. (Senior Executive) Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture.
(2) Ms. Chotika Akkaritkosopakul Position: Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive) Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture. She will take the position of Director-General (Senior Executive) Department of Cultural Promotion Ministry of Culture.
These appointments are effective from the date of royal approval.
2. Extension of term. Extension of Mr. Phanombut Chantrachot's term as Director-General of the Fine Arts Department for an additional year. Effective from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.
The Cabinet approved the appointment of the chairman and expert committee members of the National Astronomical Research Institute Board, totaling eight members, as proposed by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, since the previous chairman and experts have completed their three-year terms, as follows.
1. Mr. Sarun Poshyachinda, Chairman.
2. Mr. Kitti Tangjitmanesakda, Expert Committee Member.
3. Mr. Thoranin Chairuangsri, Expert Committee Member.
4. Mr. Theerapat Tanpiriyakul, Expert Committee Member.
5. Mr. Pichai Sonjaeng, Expert Committee Member.
6. Mr. Saruj Tipsena, Expert Committee Member.
7. Mrs. Sutkhaneung Khumpharat, Expert Committee Member.
8. Mr. Supot Techwarasinsakul, Expert Committee Member.
These appointments take effect from 14 July 2026, with the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Yossanan Wongsawat) having endorsed them.
The Cabinet also approved the appointment of six expert committee members to the Land Traffic Management Committee as proposed by the Ministry of Transport, replacing those who have completed their two-year terms, as follows.
1. Police Major General Damrongsak Sawangngam, Traffic Planning.
2. Mr. Chaiwat Thongkamkoon, Traffic Engineering.
3. Mr. Wijai Simachaya, Environmental Engineering.
4. Mr. Ruthir Phanomyong, Economics.
5. Mrs. Pantip Sripimon, Fiscal Economics.
6. Mrs. Wannaporn Pornprapa, Urban Planning.
These appointments are effective from 14 July 2026, with the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn) having given his approval.
