Starting Today, Citizens Can Check Criminal Records Online Through Website Convenient, Fast, and Receive Results via Email Immediately

Starting today, 15 Jul 2026, citizens can self-check criminal records online through the Criminal Records Division's website. The service is convenient, fast, secure, and provides immediate email results, supporting the government's digital policy.

On 15 July 2026, Ms. Ploytale Laksamee Sangchan, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, revealed that under the government's digital policy focusing on transforming bureaucracy, the goal is to provide fully online services (Zero Paper), link data across agencies via a single Super App, and disclose government data (Open Data) for transparency. The Criminal Records Division of the Royal Thai Police has upgraded its public services to a full digital era by launching the “Online Criminal Record Check” system using full name and national ID number to facilitate the public and those needing criminal record documents for job applications or transactions. This system officially launched on 15 July 2026.

Ms. Ploytale said citizens can check criminal records online through the official website of the Criminal Records Division at www.crd.go.th/bg/landing, which is convenient, fast, and secure, following these four steps:

1. Fill out application: Visit the website and complete the criminal record check request form.

2. Identity verification: Choose to verify identity via the ThaiD application or use the laser code on the back of the national ID card along with other verification data.

3. Online payment: Supports various convenient payment methods including Mobile Banking/Internet Banking, QR Code scanning, Bill Payment/counter banking, and ATM.

4. Receive results: The system will send the criminal record check results to the email with a secure and reliable electronic signature (Digital Signature).

"For those who verify identity through the ThaiD application, they gain maximum benefits by being able to check and receive results by email anytime, anywhere, every day. For citizens who prefer not to receive electronic results or need an official signed document, they may still collect the results in person at service points nationwide, including 1. Criminal Records Division, 2. Forensic Centers 1–10, and 3. Provincial Forensic Offices. For further inquiries, contact the name-based criminal record check unit at 0 2205 1347 or visit www.crd.go.th."
