Political tensions heat up as Bhumjaithai Party fires back at the Democrat Party after Kardee criticized ministers from the Luk Thep group, accusing them of trading solely on their family names and sharply condemning their behavior as a way to mask their own insecurities.
On 15 July 2026, Pichayut Pojit, MP for Uttaradit from the Bhumjaithai Party, retorted to Kardee Liewpirom, MP from the Democrat Party, who had questioned government positions, arguing they should be based on ability rather than prominent family names—known as the “ministers from the Luk Thep group.” He called it typical of those who enjoy fault-finding with others, reflecting their own inadequacies and lack of self-pride.
The Bhumjaithai MP further stated that such attacks are merely attempts to undermine others’ confidence to cover up one’s own insecurities, suggesting that without venting, they would suffer deeply. He also reopened a sensitive issue within the Democrat Party by noting that even members of Kardee’s own party have questioned her background.
“Sometimes, they may not even realize that their position isn’t truly backed by the people’s will. I’ve heard that party members themselves are aware and question how she got there—how she suddenly appeared as the fourth party-list MP despite recently joining the party. Did she step on someone to get there?” Pichayut concluded, leaving a heated controversy.
