On 16 July 2026, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment's Facebook page posted a clarification regarding Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, a party-list MP from the People's Party, who had posted a schedule of birthday activities for Mr. Suchat Chomklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, from the previous day (15 July 2026). The clarification stated that as the ministry was currently preparing to explain the 2027 budget, a management meeting was held to discuss and prepare for the budget briefing and to receive policy guidance from the Minister. The Minister emphasized working for the public benefit on issues such as transboundary pollution, forest fires and haze, climate change adaptation, resolving land tenure problems including the Thap Lan case, and distinguishing between local people and investors in forest encroachment cases.
