12th Infantry Regiment, Kings Guard Reinforces Combat Readiness to Enhance Personnel Capabilities

The 12th Infantry Regiment, King's Guard, has reinforced its combat readiness by inspecting personnel and equipment to enhance troop capabilities, ensuring preparedness for all missions.


On 16 July 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that the 12th Infantry Regiment, King's Guard (12th Infantry Regiment), conducted a combat readiness inspection of personnel and equipment before participating in the 2026 task force infantry regiment exercise. The inspection took place at the grassland area of the 12th Mobile Development Unit (MDU 12) in Watthananakhon District, Sa Kaeo Province. Colonel Chainarong Kasee, commander of the 1st Task Force Infantry Regiment, led personnel and equipment through a thorough readiness inspection. This inspection is part of the preparation process before field training to assess the unit's capabilities in all areas, including personnel, personal weapons, unit weapons, vehicles, communication tools, logistics systems, as well as command and control and troop movement readiness, to ensure effective mission execution in any situation if ordered.


Major General Benjaphol Dechatwong Na Ayudhya, commander of the 2nd Infantry Division, King's Guard, came to chair the combat readiness inspection. He thoroughly inspected the troops, weapons, equipment, vehicles, and unit gear to ensure all parts were at maximum readiness before entering the 2026 task force infantry regiment exercise.


Additionally, the commander of the 2nd Infantry Division, King's Guard, met with the personnel to deliver policies and operational guidelines for the training. He emphasized that every soldier must uphold discipline, strictly follow safety measures, handle weapons and equipment carefully, and prioritize teamwork as well as maintain physical and mental readiness at all times to ensure the training proceeds safely and achieves its objectives.


Major General Benjaphol also gave a motivational speech to boost troop morale. He urged personnel to use this training opportunity to develop combat skills, coordination, and joint operations at the regiment level to enhance the unit’s capabilities, ensuring readiness for all missions, including national defense, security maintenance, disaster relief, and other tasks assigned by the Royal Thai Army. The 2026 task force infantry regiment exercise is a critical training event aimed at developing personnel's physical fitness, knowledge, skills, and proficiency with weapons and equipment. It also tests command and control systems to elevate the unit's combat readiness, enabling effective, rapid mission execution and timely response to national security situations.
