Government Opens Review of State Welfare Card Eligibility from 17–31 July via Four Channels, Emphasizes Data Correction Allowed Until 16 August to Preserve Rights

The government has opened a review for the state welfare card eligibility for those who failed the qualification process from 17 to 31 July, accessible through four channels, emphasizing that data corrections are allowed until 16 August to preserve rights and benefits.

On 18 July 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatthana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that under the leadership of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, the government is allowing those registered for the 2026 state welfare program who failed the qualification check to request a review of their eligibility from 17 to 31 July 2026. This provides an opportunity for citizens to verify their information, correct any errors, and protect their rights through four government-provided convenient channels.

The Deputy Spokesperson explained that those eligible to request a review can do so through registration units at five state banks: Krung Thai Bank, Government Savings Bank, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Government Housing Bank (GHB), and Islamic Bank of Thailand. Alternatively, they can use the state welfare card program’s website, the official welfare card website, the “Pao Tang” application, and the government’s official application.

Furthermore, those who have submitted a review and are notified to correct information or submit additional documents must do so in person at the relevant qualification verification agencies by 16 August 2026. Failure to comply may affect the eligibility decision.

The Deputy Spokesperson stated that this review opportunity is intended to allow individuals affected by incomplete or incorrect data to have their information re-examined, ensuring the process is accurate, transparent, and fair. Applicants still must meet the program’s criteria as usual.

“The government prioritizes supporting low-income citizens and ensuring fair access to state welfare. Therefore, we encourage those who did not pass the qualification check to review their results and submit a rights review within the specified period, closely monitoring any requests for data correction or additional documents to prevent loss of entitled benefits,” she said.
