The government is organizing a major “THAILAND²” event on 21 July to enhance future skills and drive economic growth exponentially, with the Prime Minister personally presiding over the opening ceremony.
On 20 July 2026, Captain Phatdarasmi Thongsaluaykorn, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, revealed that the “THAILAND²: Elevate Thailand, Enhance Human Capital” event marks the first major collaboration of five key ministries. Its goal is to create opportunities and develop skills for all Thai people across all professions, transforming education, science, research, and innovation to meet the demands of the modern world. The event will take place on 21 July at 13:00 at Kasetsart University, with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul officiating the opening.
The “squared” or exponential growth concept focuses on sustainable development centered on people by expanding access to capital and education, making learning more accessible and equitable, and reducing inequality. It aims to produce high-skilled workers tailored to future industries such as digital technology, AI, and new energy, while promoting new innovations that turn research into practical solutions for daily life and income generation.
The Deputy Spokesperson further explained that the THAILAND² event will present a 90-day progress report and concrete human development policies from five ministries: Agriculture and Cooperatives; Education; Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; Social Development and Human Security; and Labor. The event also includes networking activities to unite agencies and participants in enhancing Thai people’s potential. The public and interested parties can attend free of charge or follow the live broadcast on the Higher Education Ministry’s Facebook Live.
