The Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration has issued an urgent letter mobilizing provincial officials to facilitate citizens in identity verification and submitting rights review requests under the State Welfare Registration Project in 2026.
On 20 July 2026, Mr. Narucha Khosasivilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, stated that following the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance's announcement of qualified beneficiaries for the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project on 17 July 2026, the Department has accelerated support for the government project to ensure smooth, efficient implementation and facilitate broad citizen access to rights.
Accordingly, the Department of Provincial Administration issued an urgent letter to all provincial and district administration offices nationwide, directing all 878 districts to carry out the following tasks to drive the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project:
1. Publicize the announcement of qualified beneficiaries so citizens can verify their eligibility through four channels: the 'Pao Tang' application, the 'Thang Rat' application, the State Welfare Registration Project website, and five state banks—Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Government Savings Bank, Krung Thai Bank, Government Housing Bank, and Islamic Bank of Thailand—to ensure comprehensive information dissemination.
2. Establish a “One Stop Service (OSS) Coordination Center to Support the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project at the district level” at every district office nationwide to integrate work with relevant local agencies, Krung Thai Bank, and eligibility verification units. This center will facilitate citizens, including those who have qualified and need to complete identity verification (e-KYC) and those who did not qualify but wish to submit a rights review request. The rights review requestscan be submitted at every district office. Additionally, there is the “Reliable District” service. For those unable to travel independently, district officials, village heads, local leaders, and local administrative organizations will collect cases locally, arranging field visits in collaboration with relevant agencies to assist with the appeals process.
3. Closely monitor and verify local information. If complaints, doubts, or misinformation that could cause misunderstandings about the project arise, district chiefs, village heads, local leaders, and local administrative organizations are to publicize accurate information at the village loudspeakers to ensure everyone receives updates, especially new information such as adjustments to eligibility criteria or review periods, which will be announced after the Cabinet meeting tomorrow (21 July).
Furthermore, the Department of Provincial Administration has assigned its inspectors and provincial secretaries to supervise, monitor, and expedite all district operations to ensure the project is implemented effectively and that citizens can conveniently, quickly, and widely access government rights and services.
