Cabinet Approves Appointment of Kritthep Simlee as Secretary to the Minister of Transport

The Deputy Government Spokesperson revealed that the Cabinet resolved to appoint Kritthep Simlee as Secretary to the Minister of Transport, while Rapeepat Chantrasriwong was appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives as expected.


On 21 July 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatthana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the Cabinet meeting resolved to appoint senior civil servants to academic professional positions at the highest level within the Ministry of Transport. Three individuals were appointed to such positions across various agencies, as follows.

1. Mr. Jirapong Pintabut was appointed as Chief Engineer Consultant, specialized in Civil Engineering (Survey and Design) (Senior Civil Engineer) at the Department of Rural Roads.

2. Mr. Sahaschai Riangrungroj was appointed as Chief Engineer Consultant, specialized in Civil Engineering,

(Planning and Construction Project) (Senior Civil Engineer) at the Department of Highways.

3. Mr. Sombun Tiantamnat was appointed as Chief Engineer Consultant, specialized in Civil Engineering,

(Survey and Design) (Senior Civil Engineer) at the Department of Highways.

These appointments take effect from the date of royal endorsement.


At the same time, the Cabinet resolved to appoint Mr. Kritthep Simlee as a political official to serve as Secretary to the Minister of Transport, effective from 21 July 2026.


Additionally, Mr. Rapeepat Chantrasriwong, Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, has been appointed Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive) of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, in accordance with Section 57 (1) of the Civil Service Act B.E. 2551 (2008) and the Civil Service Commission regulations concerning the transfer, secondment, or promotion of civil servants to administrative positions within or across ministries or departments B.E. 2567 (2024). This appointment is effective from 1 October 2026.
