The chairman of the Central Committee on Local Officials' Examinations (CCLOE) has requested clarity from the Department of Local Administration regarding the revocation of appointments for 5,924 local officials. He noted the matter is under investigation and revealed that the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior is continuously monitoring the situation.

22 July 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Wanchai Chanporn, chairman of the Central Committee on Local Officials' Examinations (CCLOE), revealed the progress regarding the revocation process of 5,924 local officials' names following the CCLOE's resolution on 17 July 2026, stating that he requests awaiting clarity from the Department of Local Administration, as the verification of the names is still underway.

Regarding the duration of the verification process, Mr. Wanchai said he does not know yet but emphasized the department needs time to conduct the checks. The reporter asked further, if the revocation summary is completed, will it be presented at the central committee meeting?
