The Election Commission announced the dissolution of the Future Forward Party as a political party after it failed to have 5,000 members and establish at least one branch per region within one year. This takes effect today, as announced in the Government Gazette.
On 22 July 2026, the website of the Government Gazette published the Election Commission's announcement regarding the dissolution of the Future Forward Party as a political party. It stated that the Registrar of Political Parties, with approval from the Election Commission, had issued an announcement on 18 February 2025 registering the establishment of the Future Forward Party under the Organic Act on Political Parties B.E. 2560 (2017).
The Registrar of Political Parties verified the facts and found that upon reaching the deadlines specified in Section 33, paragraphs one (1) and (2), of the Organic Act on Political Parties B.E. 2560 (2017), the Future Forward Party failed to maintain at least 5,000 members and to establish at least one party branch in each region according to the regional and provincial lists stipulated by the Election Commission within one year. Since the date the Registrar officially registered the party, this led to the loss of its status as a political party, in accordance with Section 91, paragraph one (1) of the same Organic Act.
Therefore, the Election Commission has declared the Future Forward Party dissolved as a political party, pursuant to Section 91, paragraphs one (1) and two of the Organic Act on Political Parties B.E. 2560 (2017).
This takes effect from the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
