On 23 July 2026, the website The Royal Gazette published a Royal Decree calling for a by-election for the Member of Parliament of Udon Thani Province, Constituency 3, to fill the vacant seat, B.E. 2569 (2026). His Majesty King Rama X granted this on 23 July 2026, the 11th year of the current reign, with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul endorsing the Royal Command. The decree states as follows:
His Majesty King Rama X graciously commands that it is appropriate to hold an election for a constituency-based Member of Parliament to fill the vacant seat, invoking powers under Section 105 paragraph one (1) and Section 175 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand. Thus, His Majesty has graciously issued this Royal Decree as follows.
Section 1: This Royal Decree shall be called "Royal Decree on the Election of a Member of Parliament for Udon Thani Province, Constituency 3, to Fill the Vacant Seat, B.E. 2569 (2026)."
Section 2: This Royal Decree shall take effect from the date of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.
Section 3: An election shall be held for the Member of Parliament of Udon Thani Province, Constituency 3, to fill the vacant seat.
Section 4: The Chairman of the Election Commission shall act in accordance with this Royal Decree.
