On 24 July 2026, the Southern Border Peace Student Federation (SBPSF), together with the Raman District Child and Youth Council and the Peace-Loving Student Club, jointly issued a statement expressing condolences over the violent incident in Ra-ngae District, Narathiwat Province.
The SBPSF stated that as a representative organization of youth, the new generation, and students in the southern border area, they deeply mourn the tragic losses resulting from the violent incident at the Bukit Sami checkpoint in Ra-ngae District, Narathiwat Province, on 22 July 2026. This event caused loss of life, emotional pain, and inflicted wounds.

On behalf of the youth, students, and learners, they send their sincere concern, sympathy, and heartfelt support to the families of the deceased, the injured, and all affected community members. Meanwhile, the SBPSF respectfully sends encouragement and appreciation to all personnel who have devoted their physical and emotional efforts, working selflessly to care for, treat, and support those affected to the fullest extent possible. As youth raised in the area, the SBPSF firmly stands by its commitment to help foster an atmosphere of compassion, understanding, and mutual empathy to promote peaceful coexistence in the valuable multicultural society. They strongly believe that genuine friendship
and open-minded listening and cooperation among the younger generation are key forces in healing social wounds, dissolving mistrust, and overcoming losses together. This will help nurture the local community’s spirit to become strong again and build a hopeful, warm multicultural society. They express deepest condolences and send strength to all affected families and individuals.
Meanwhile, the Peace-Loving Student Club posted a message condemning all forms of violence, stating that no reason can justify taking lives or harming innocent people.
Similarly, the Raman District Child and Youth Council issued a statement expressing deepest condolences to the families of the five brave volunteer paramilitary rangers and urged that such tragic losses never happen again.
