His Majesty Appoints Veerapong Sudawong as President of the Supreme Court Effective 1 Oct 2026

The Royal Gazette published the royal command appointing Veerapong Sudawong as President of the Supreme Court, effective from 1 October 2026, succeeding Adisak Tantivong, who is set to leave the position.


On 24 July 2026, the Royal Gazette website published the royal command. Announcement of the appointment of the President of the Supreme Court. The content states: His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has graciously issued a royal command to announce that,

Whereas, the Judicial Commission has approved the appointment of Mr. Veerapong Sudawong, a judicial officer serving as Vice President of the Supreme Court, to the position of President of the Supreme Court, to replace Mr. Adisak Tantivong, who will retire from the position of Supreme Court President on 1 October 2026.

By virtue of the power under Section 19 of the Judicial Service Act B.E. 2543 (2000), His Majesty has graciously appointed Mr. Veerapong Sudawong to serve as President of the Supreme Court.

This appointment is effective from 1 October 2026 onward.

Announced on 24 July 2026, the 11th year of the current reign.
