At 10:00 a.m. on 25 July 2026 at the parliament, Abhisit Vejjajiva, party-list MP and leader of the Democrat Party, spoke about the party's efforts to scrutinize the government’s work. He highlighted two issues the Democrat Party seeks government clarification on: the TH-AI Passport project, and the Khao Kradong land case in Buriram. Abhisit noted that Naree Liao-Pairoj, party-list MP and deputy party leader, works with the Subcommittee on Enhancing Thailand's Digital Competitiveness within the Parliamentary Committee on Communication, Telecommunications, and Digital Economy and Society. This committee has pointed out two main problems with the TH-AI Passport project: concerns over the project’s cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and suitability of public spending, and potential issues in the procurement process. Although the government appeared to discuss these concerns with the committee, it has continued the project regardless. Therefore, the Democrat Party will submit a letter to the Minister of Digital Economy and Society highlighting these two issues and requesting corrective action, whether through review or cancellation. Initial coordination with the minister has already occurred. Similarly, regarding the Khao Kradong land case in Buriram, with a court ruling now issued, the Democrat Party plans to submit a letter to the Minister of Interior within the next day or two to officially inform the ministry.
