The government invites the public to purchase specially priced products through the “Thai Help Thai x Local Low Cost” project from 1–15 August at over 800 local stores, supporting SMEs and community products.
On 26 July 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the government, through the Ministry of Commerce, is advancing measures to reduce the cost of living for citizens while supporting grassroots entrepreneurs. The "Thai Help Thai x Local Low Cost" campaign will run from 1–15 August 2026 in collaboration with a network of over 130 local wholesale and retail stores, totaling about 800 outlets nationwide. The initiative offers essential consumer goods at special prices while expanding sales channels for SMEs and community product producers.
During the campaign, participating stores will sell essential consumer goods at special prices, with discounts of up to 60%. Featured products include rice, fish sauce, seasoning sauce, and daily consumer goods. The Department of Business Development will hold the official opening ceremony on 1 August 2026 at Tang Ngee Soon Superstore, Nadee branch, Udon Thani Province.
Ms. Lalida said the project’s strength lies in using local store networks as a mechanism to connect producers with consumers in each area. This helps SMEs and community products gain more retail space, reach more consumers, and keep financial circulation within provincial and community-level economies.
“The government invites the public to participate by purchasing special-priced goods from the ‘Thai Help Thai x Local Low Cost’ campaign and to follow the lists of participating stores, branches, and products through the Department of Business Development and Ministry of Commerce channels. The 60% discount is the maximum rate for products in the campaign, and details and discount rates may vary by store and branch,” Ms. Lalida said.
