On 26 July 2026, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced a reminder about the sale of “Aom Plus Bonds,” which the Ministry of Finance plans to launch for the first time on 31 July 2026. This aims to provide an accessible saving and investment option for the public, starting from just 100 baht. The bonds offer fixed interest rates: 1.80% per year for the 3-year term and 2.80% per year for the 10-year term. Additionally, the bonds offer “plus” benefits beyond traditional savings, namely:
Ms. Ratchada added that for this sale, the public can purchase bonds through 1) the Government Savings Bank wallet on the “Paotang” application, with a minimum investment of 100 baht starting 31 July; and 2) the Bond Connect Platform, allowing those with securities trading accounts to invest from 1,000 baht via commercial banks, participating securities firms, and the Streaming application from 3 to 5 August.
“The government invites everyone to save through ‘Aom Plus Bonds,’ a stable, accessible investment option offering reasonable returns. Every baht saved helps build personal financial security while also contributing to driving the country's economy and future,” Ms. Ratchada said.
