Supachai fired back at Senator Thewarit, comparing him to a 'thief complaining about a robber' after the Senate election results did not meet expectations. He proceeded to coordinate with political parties to continue attacking and stirring up controversy, even though no charges have yet been filed.
On 26 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Supachai Jaesamut, a party-list MP from the Bhumjaithai Party, posted on Facebook stating that Senator Thewarit Maneechai responded to his interesting remarks. Thewarit mentioned that at the Muang Thong gathering of the people's Senators or the orange Senate group, the Election Commission (EC) observed. However, Thewarit dared to deny that before meeting in Muang Thong where the room was overcrowded, they had secretly arranged prior meetings multiple times without the EC present, in private sessions.
Certainly, when they met, it wasn't to sing karaoke but to brainstorm, plan, and devise strategies on how to get elected as Senators. The candidates they chose were from this group only, not crossing to select outsiders beyond the orange Senate group or the people's Senators, contrary to others claiming there was nothing wrong because they only gathered like-minded individuals.
Supachai added that since the selection process occurred from district to national levels, he is one hundred percent confident that Thewarit would choose candidates from this arranged group. Conversely, like-minded candidates also prepared to support Thewarit according to the plan. The reason Thewarit was elected as Senator stems from this arrangement.
Supachai further stated that after the Senate election results came out, Thewarit's faction won fewer seats than expected, which must have been a painful setback. Consequently, they attacked others by accusing them of colluding in the Senate election, then pushed forward with protests, accusations, pressure, media campaigns, complaints, propaganda, and coordination with political groups, parties, and some politicians. This led some supporters to firmly believe that their political rivals had already committed wrongdoing, even though no preliminary charges have been made.
"They accuse others of being thieves when they are not. If they were thieves, their case would be like 'a thief complaining about a robber,'" Supachai said. Supachai concluded his remarks.
