The Cabinet approved a large-scale appointment of nine senior officials in the Ministry of Agriculture, including directors-general, deputy permanent secretaries, and inspectors. Ms. Narumon was appointed Director-General of the Department of Sericulture, while Mr. Saran Yu was transferred to the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department.
At the Cabinet meeting on 27 Jul 2026, government house sources reported that the Cabinet resolved to appoint Ms. Narumon Sanguanwong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, as Director-General of the Department of Sericulture; Mr. Saran Yu, Director-General of the Department of Sericulture, as Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department; and Mr. Witthaya Kaewmee, Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department, as Director-General of the Royal Irrigation Department.
Mr. Suriyaphol Nuchanong, Director-General of the Royal Irrigation Department, was appointed as an inspector of the ministry. Mr. Thiti Lohapipayan, an inspector, was appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary. Mr. Pongthai Taiyothin, also an inspector, was appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary. Mr. Chaiwat Yothakol, Secretary-General of the Agricultural and Food Product Standards Office, was appointed Director-General of the Department of Livestock Development. Ms. In-orn Panyakit, an inspector, was appointed Secretary-General of the Agricultural and Food Product Standards Office. Ms. Thitiporn Laoprasert, Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, was appointed as an inspector of the ministry. These appointments take effect from the date of royal endorsement.
