Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn explained that the dissolution of overlapping agencies is still under study and is expected to take a long time. He revealed the names of public organizations that have not met the criteria and advised to ask the Secretary-General of the OPDC for details.
On 27 Jul 2026 at the Government House, Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn Nilprapunt spoke about the planned dissolution of overlapping agencies starting this September, beginning with the Land Bank Management Institute (a public organization) as the first agency, along with the Office for National Reform Steering, National Strategy, and Reconciliation (ONRR). He said these agencies have not yet been dissolved as the study is ongoing. Besides ONRR and the Land Bank, there are 3-4 other public organizations that have failed assessments for several years but have not yet been dissolved. For the list of public organizations, he asked to inquire with the Secretary-General of the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC).
When asked if this would affect the civil servants in these agencies, Pakorn said they will do their best to avoid impact and take care of civil servants working in public organizations. There are two to three options, such as transferring them to other agencies, which is not a new process. The entire process is expected to take a long time.
