On 27 July 2026, the Election Commission Office issued a statement clarifying the progress in reviewing the case concerning the acquisition of Senate members. It stated that the commission is currently examining the case following the legally prescribed procedures, thoroughly and comprehensively reviewing all facts and evidence. The fact-finding on all matters is expected to be completed by the end of August 2026, after which a meeting will be scheduled to vote.
