Board of National Village and Urban Community Fund Approves SML PLUS and Allocates 283 Million Baht for Thai Help Thai Interest Subsidy Program

The National Village and Urban Community Fund Board approved moving forward with the SML PLUS project, allocating an additional 283 million baht in the latest round of the "Thai Help Thai: Capital Increase with Half Interest Subsidy" program to stimulate the grassroots economy nationwide.


At 13:30 on 27 July 2026 GMT+7, Mrs. Suksamruay Wantaneeyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, chaired the sixth meeting of the National Village and Urban Community Fund Board (NVUCF) for 2026 at Meeting Room 301, 3rd Floor, Government Complex Building 1, Government House.


The meeting approved key issues benefiting fund members, including the first approval round of the SML PLUS project. The NVUCF Board directed the subcommittee to expedite consideration to cover as many village funds nationwide as possible, targeting a total fund amount of at least 1 billion baht in subsequent rounds.


, Simultaneously, the meeting approved allocating 283 million baht for the second round of the "Thai Help Thai: Capital Increase with Half Interest Subsidy" project to reduce interest burdens, improve liquidity, and strengthen the financial stability of village funds.


Additionally, the meeting approved draft regulations supporting the enhancement of economic and social resilience for village and urban community residents, adjusted the 2026 operational plan, outlined the 2027 roadmap, and set key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the revolving funds operate at maximum efficiency. It also urged prompt completion of the pending third phase capital increase project for village and urban community funds to fully benefit fund members.
