The Prime Minister presided over the oath-taking ceremony to become good civil servants and pillars of the nation on the occasion of His Majesty the King's birthday on 28 July 2026 GMT+7.
At 07:30 on 28 July 2026 GMT+7, at the main stage in the Royal Plaza, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul led the oath-taking ceremony to become good civil servants and pillars of the nation, marking His Majesty the King's birthday. The event was attended by the President of the Parliament, President of the Supreme Court, President of the Senate, heads of constitutional bodies, the Cabinet, the Prime Minister's Secretary-General, senior officials, military, police, civilians, private sector representatives, and the public in full attendance.
When the Prime Minister arrived at the main stage in the Royal Plaza, he ascended the stage, paid respects before the Royal Portrait of His Majesty the King, then offered incense and candles and opened a flower tray.
Then, the Prime Minister respectfully offered royal blessings and led the oath-taking in front of the Royal Portrait of the King, stating:
"I, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, on behalf of all civil servants and state officials nationwide, am deeply honored to gather to express loyalty and take the oath to be good civil servants and pillars of the nation on the occasion of His Majesty the King's birthday on 28 July 2026 GMT+7.
We all clearly recognize the King's boundless compassion for all his people. His Majesty carries out numerous royal duties with diligence, bringing peace and prosperity to the population and the nation's enduring development. He serves as a model for civil servants in their public service. The King has graciously bestowed invaluable royal guidance, which we pledge to faithfully implement to fulfill His Majesty's intentions and to serve the nation with loyalty. We will forever hold His Majesty's immeasurable benevolence above our heads and hearts.
On this auspicious occasion, we respectfully offer royal blessings and pray to the Triple Gem and all universal sacred entities, as well as invoke the power of the Phra Siam Devadhiraj to graciously protect and bless His Majesty the King with long life, happiness, supreme power, and majestic glory, to be a source of inspiration and protection for us and all his subjects forever."
I respectfully request royal permission to lead all civil servants and state officials in the following oath of allegiance:
"I, Anutin Charnvirakul, solemnly swear to conduct myself as a good civil servant and pillar of the nation with honesty and integrity, follow in the footsteps of His Majesty, remain steadfast in resolving national and public problems, create benefits for the country, and live by the moral teachings of religion in accordance with His Majesty's royal guidance at all times."
The ceremony concluded with the Prime Minister and attendees singing the Royal Anthem and the Song of Praise for the King, followed by the Prime Minister leading three cheers of "Long Live the King," marking the official end of the event.
The oath-taking ceremony for good civil servants and pillars of the nation on the occasion of His Majesty the King's birthday on 28 July 2026 GMT+7 included activities both at the central and regional levels. The central ceremony was held at the Royal Plaza, organized by the Office of the Civil Service Commission, which also encouraged government agencies to hold ceremonies at their locations between 20 and 28 July 2026 GMT+7. Additionally, the public was invited to sign the oath online via the Office of the Civil Service Commission's website www.ocsc.go.th until 31 July 2026 GMT+7.
