"Yingcheep iLaw" invites Amnat Charoen residents to identify the locations of the senators' chicken noodle and pork butcher shops. He is confident both registered in the wrong group and is amazed by their overwhelming election victories, noting their well-known reputations.
On 28 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Yingcheep Atchanont, director of the Internet for People's Law Project (iLaw), posted on Facebook about Nang Daeng Kongma and Mr. Sompan Palasak, noting that Amnat Charoen has two senators: Nang Daeng, who listed her occupation as a pork vendor at a butcher’s stall, and Sompan, who listed his as a bitter gourd chicken noodle seller. He said it was commendable that small vendors became senators but expressed 97% confidence that both applied to the wrong group, specifically group 10, which is for owners of large businesses exceeding SME size.
Yingcheep added that according to the legal definition, the group of large business owners must have more than 300 employees. "I have never seen a bitter gourd chicken noodle shop with so many employees. Both were elected as senators with overwhelming votes beyond expectation, forcing the Election Commission to add a new tally sheet. This suggests they must be highly recognized and famous, well known among all senatorial candidates." Yingcheep further commented,
This raises questions about whether their pork butcher and noodle shops are truly that large. If they receive summons and have to contest legal cases in Amnat Charoen—visiting the province for the first time in their lives—I will take the opportunity to visit and support by having a bowl of their chicken noodles.
"While paying, I will count the number of employees to verify whether they registered correctly. I will also visit the pork butcher in the market. If the 3% chance that I am wrong proves true and they do operate large businesses, we must congratulate them. But if the count shows at most 299 employees, it will prove they lack the qualifications," Yingcheep said, adding that if they knowingly applied without qualifications, both the applicants and their endorsers could face imprisonment.
He invited people in Amnat Charoen who have visited the giant chicken noodle shops to tell him the location and whether the food is good. If no one has seen such shops, he asked them to watch for any unusual expansions of pork butcher stalls in the coming days and to take photos for evidence.
