The Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that the Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, is intensively following up on 'Halun Solo,' a travel YouTuber, after his family reported he had been out of contact for several days.
On 28 July 2026, Ms. Jaitai Upakarnnitikeset, Director-General of the Information Department and spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, disclosed that 'Halun Solo,' or Mr. Bowornthat Pengsuk, a travel YouTuber, had lost contact with his relatives during his trip to film content in Georgia for about two weeks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Consular Department and the Embassy in Ankara, Turkey—which is also responsible for Georgia—has been closely monitoring the situation. The Embassy has coordinated with Georgian local officials, the Thai Honorary Consul in Georgia, and Thai volunteer networks in the area to assist in locating Mr. Bowornthat. Additionally, close communication with his family has been maintained. Georgian authorities are actively pursuing leads to find him. The Ministry will provide updates as soon as possible.
