Sereepisuth Announces Continued Evidence Collection in Khao Kradong Case, Declines Mediation After Defamation Suit by Newin Chidchob

Sereepisuth announced he will continue collecting evidence in the State Railway of Thailand land encroachment case. He emphasized he does not wish to mediate after being sued by Newin Chidchob for defamation and false accusation.

On 29 July 2026, Police General Sereepisuth Temiyavet, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, revealed that on 30 July he will take his lawyers to Buriram province to gather further evidence in the State Railway of Thailand land encroachment case. This will allow the lawyers to see the site and understand the facts before the trial begins on 17 August. On 31 July, he will go to court to request subpoenas for documents and witnesses to assist in cross-examination.

Police General Sereepisuth added that his initial plan was to revisit Buriram in July 2026 to inspect the State Railway land encroachment area. However, earlier this month he received a summons from Buriram Provincial Court notifying him that Newin Chidchob had filed defamation and false accusation charges against him. The court scheduled mediation for 6 August at 9:30 a.m. and a preliminary hearing for 17 August at 9:30 a.m. Out of respect for the court and to seek the truth, he informed court officials he does not wish to mediate and requests the case proceed through judicial process.
