On 29 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Nan Buntida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society and spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, gave an interview regarding Mr. Natcha Boonchai-insawat, a list MP from the Prachachon Party, who observed that a photo of Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior as Bhumjaithai party leader, Mr. Newin Chidchob, chairman of Buriram United Football Club, and Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, appeared to mend cracks, implying that there had been internal rifts and calling attention to potential cabinet reshuffles favoring some or sidelining the disobedient.
Ms. Nan Buntida said that when no photos appear, people create stories about cracks in Bhumjaithai, and when photos do emerge, they claim these are attempts to cover up rifts. She believes that regardless of photos, outsiders will continue to speculate, but insiders confirm the party's firm unity and normal cooperation. She emphasized that the three individuals have no issues; Mr. Newin is a respected elder within the party. Outsiders cannot know better than insiders. She views such comments as opposition attempts to find issues to attack the government and stir division, but these efforts will have no impact on Bhumjaithai.
