Government Hosts Inter-Parliamentary Club Event Honoring His Majesty the King

The government hosted the Inter-Parliamentary Club event honoring His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty's birthday on 28 July 2026 GMT+7.


On 29 July 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, announced that the government had been granted royal permission to hold the Inter-Parliamentary Club event honoring His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday on 28 July 2026 at the Santi Maitri Building, Government House.


At 18:50 GMT+7, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arrived at Government House. The royal guard of honor paid respects while the band played the royal anthem. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as Minister of Interior, along with his wife Mrs. Thananon Charnvirakul and the Prime Minister’s Secretary-General Ms. Traisulee Traisoranakul, received Her Royal Highness at the royal car.


Subsequently, the Prime Minister paid respects and formally invited Her Royal Highness to proceed along the royal pathway to her seat in the central hall of the Santi Maitri Building. The band continued playing the royal anthem as Her Royal Highness took her seat on the throne.


The Prime Minister respectfully offered a royal congratulatory address: “I humbly convey royal blessings to Your Majesty on the auspicious occasion of Your Majesty’s birthday on 28 July 2026. I, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, on behalf of the Cabinet, civil servants, and all Thai people, am deeply honored by Your Majesty’s presence at this Inter-Parliamentary Club event hosted by the government to express loyalty and profound gratitude for Your Majesty’s great benevolence today.”


“Throughout the years, we have witnessed Your Majesty’s steadfast determination and immense benevolence as the righteous monarch. Your Majesty has undertaken numerous royal duties that have greatly benefited the nation, laying foundations for sustainable development and enabling the country to progress in balance with global changes through Your Majesty’s wisdom and evident brilliance. Recognized as a royal aviator, Your Majesty has used aviation to strengthen national security and foster international relations. Your Majesty has continued royal development initiatives and established the Royal Volunteer Projects, a key royal policy fostering sacrifice and unity among the Thai people.”


“With a heart full of compassion, Your Majesty constantly cares for the welfare of the people. Whenever citizens face hardship, Your Majesty generously provides assistance to alleviate suffering and encourage resilience, allowing the people to overcome difficulties. This boundless benevolence extends throughout the kingdom, bringing peace and reassurance to all. Your Majesty’s great prestige will forever remain with the nation and in the hearts of all of us.”


“On this auspicious occasion, I respectfully invite all assembled here to unite in prayer, invoking the power of the Triple Gem and all sacred forces worldwide to bless His Majesty the King with long life, prosperity, expansive royal power, and abundant grace. May all His Majesty’s wishes be fulfilled according to His royal intentions, and may He reign eternally as a cherished sovereign and protector of all His loyal subjects and the Thai people.”


“At this time, I respectfully request permission to lead all distinguished guests present at this Inter-Parliamentary Club event in raising a toast to wish His Majesty the King continued happiness, prosperity, and auspiciousness.”


The band then played the royal anthem. Following this, the Prime Minister respectfully presented the souvenir album.


Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn watched the commemorative performance “Phatthawisai Chaimongkol.” After the performance, the band played “Salute to the Monarch.” Her Royal Highness then proceeded along the line of honored guests, departed the Santi Maitri Building, and boarded the royal car to return. The Prime Minister, his wife, and the Secretary-General of the Prime Minister’s Office saw Her Royal Highness off at the royal car, while the royal guard of honor paid respects and the band played the royal anthem.
