"Senator Daeng" has officially filed a complaint to prosecute "Yingcheep iLaw" to the fullest extent, urging him to lower his ego and stop dwelling on the issue. She pointed out that the Constitution allows a pork vendor to be a Senator, yet she has been continuously disparaged.
On 31 July 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that Mrs. Daeng Kongma, a Senator from Group 10 (representing other businesses besides small and medium enterprises as defined by law), went to file a defamation complaint by advertising against Mr. Yingcheep Atchanont, director of the Internet Law Project for the People (iLaw), and related parties at Amnat Charoen City Police Station, Amnat Charoen Province, on 30 July 2026 GMT+7.
Mrs. Daeng stated that the case arose from Mr. Yingcheep’s Facebook post on 28 July 2026 GMT+7, accusing her of falsely declaring her profession as a pork vendor in her Senate application, suggesting she submitted false information or supporting documents, thus lacking qualifications for candidacy in Group 10. This implied she was unqualified for the Senate, even though the Election Commission had already ruled that she was not disqualified as Yingcheep claimed.
Mrs. Daeng added that Mr. Yingcheep distorted the law by posting that "Group 10 consists of owners of large businesses larger than SMEs as legally defined, meaning they must have more than 200 employees..." attempting to fault her. This was a self-imposed legal condition. As a lawyer, Yingcheep should adhere to the principle that "If the law does not prohibit it, it is not an offense."
Furthermore, there were actions that targeted, incited, and harassed her personal rights by posting "Please take photos to show everyone," which encouraged political opponents or iLaw supporters to harass her daily life. This caused serious damage and was widely disseminated online, attracting viewers who commented insults, leading to widespread shame and social hatred against her and her family. The incitement to watch or photograph her in the area caused her fear for safety and distress in performing her Senate duties.
"I feel repeatedly disparaged in my honest profession as a pork vendor, even though the Constitution allows people from various backgrounds, rich or poor, with any education level, to become Senators. From the first days in the Senate, I faced snide remarks from fellow Senators, and after two years, Yingcheep still disparages my qualifications, which have been resolved, causing widespread damage. Therefore, I had to file a complaint against Yingcheep and related parties to ensure they face legal consequences until the case is concluded. However, Yingcheep probably believes he is right since he has not taken responsibility despite the Election Commission's qualification ruling and publication on their website. This pork vendor wishes Yingcheep would lower his ego and stop being stuck in the past."
