Anutin Says Local Exam Cheating Problem Caused by Individuals, Not System, and Has Been Resolved

Anutin pointed out that the problem of cheating in local exams stems from individuals, not the system, and said all issues have been resolved. When asked by the media about resetting the Ministry of Interior during the transfer season, he noted that August to September is the regular transfer period for all ministries and that ministers have the right to propose suitable candidates.

At 15:26 on 31 July 2026, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, spoke about the transfer of civil servants to replace retirees as part of resetting the Ministry of Interior. He explained that the Ministry’s only problem was cheating in local exams, which was a matter of individuals, not the system. Since individuals caused the issue, they had to be dealt with, and all have been addressed through arrest warrants, summons, prosecutions, investigation committees, and transfers to remove their authority over these matters. Cancellation of exam results suspected of corruption is now fully clarified. The August-September period coincides with the regular transfer season, not only for the Ministry of Interior but for all ministries, which gradually appoint replacements. For positions at levels C10 and C11, appointments must be submitted to Cabinet meetings. He respects every minister who proposes suitable candidates for management and reiterated that he manages the ministers, while the ministers manage their ministries.

After concluding the interview, Anutin told reporters, “Have a Good Weekend.”
