Prime Minister Denies Cabinet Reshuffle Rumors, Urges All Ministries to Focus on Performance

Anutin Chanvirakul dismissed rumors of a cabinet reshuffle, affirming there is no basis for such claims. He noted that while cabinet changes fall under the Prime Minister's authority, the time is not right yet. He urged all ministries to focus on producing results.

On 31 July 2026, Anutin Chanvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, addressed rumors about a cabinet reshuffle, confirming that such rumors are unfounded. The government has only been in office for four months, and all ministers are diligently working according to set guidelines.

The Prime Minister said that cabinet reshuffles are his decision based on circumstances. If anyone causes damage to the country, there is no need to wait for a scheduled reshuffle. However, if no one errs and delivers good performance, there is no reason to reshuffle. He criticized media speculation and shows for making unfounded guesses and confirmed there are no plans to bring other political parties into the government, even though one ministerial post remains vacant.

Additionally, Anutin stated he continuously monitors the performance of all ministries, including his own. So far, he has received strong cooperation from civil servants and all sectors. Regarding criticism that he cannot issue directives, he clarified that any lawful and proper orders must be followed, while unlawful orders should not be executed, which is a clear principle.
