On 31 July 2026, Mr. Akniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, announced that the first issuance of “Government Savings Bonds” today, the first day, via the Government Savings Bank wallet on the Paotang application, attracted overwhelming public interest, with a total of 1,590 buyers purchasing the full amount offered.

The total amount of 2 billion baht was sold out in one day, broken down as follows:

• Government Savings Bonds with a 3-year term: 259 buyers, total value 217,309,100 baht.
• Government Savings Bonds with a 10-year term: 1,331 buyers, total value 1,782,690,900 baht.

For those who missed buying through the Paotang app, there is another chance. The Government Savings Bank opens subscriptions via Bond Connect with a total issuance of 2 billion baht. Buyers can subscribe through 24 participating commercial banks and securities companies or via the Streaming application, with a minimum purchase of only 1,000 baht.

The Bond Connect subscription uses the “Small Lot First” method, which gradually allocates 1,000 baht increments to each buyer until the total issuance is fully allocated. Subscription is open from 08:30 on Monday, 3 August 2026, until 15:00 on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.
