Anutin Charnvirakul visited Suphan Buri Province, affirming his focus on raising farmers' incomes. He appealed to locals to support all MPs in the province to enable smooth governance and performed a worship ritual to Thao Wessuwan using large incense sticks.
At 09:45 on 1 Aug 2026, at Nang Buat Subdistrict, Doem Bang Nang Buat District, Suphan Buri Province, Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, conducted an inspection and met with residents at the low-cost rice planting demonstration site in Ban Thanang Roeng. The Prime Minister arrived in a black Toyota Alphard with license plate Gob 5665 Suphan Buri, accompanied by Worawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry; Praphat Phothasuthon, Suphan Buri MP from Bhumjaithai Party; three other Bhumjaithai MPs from Suphan Buri and Nakhon Pathom; Monthian Songpracha, MP from Chainat; and Udom Prongfa, Suphan Buri Provincial Administrative Organization chief. Upon arrival, the Prime Minister received a briefing on the agricultural promotion project at the low-cost rice planting demonstration site in Ban Thanang Roeng, then met with locals. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, noting that farmers are the backbone of the nation. He emphasized that the goal, shared by MP Praphat and the government, is to ensure that the majority of income benefits the farmers themselves, rather than middlemen, capitalists, or sellers, as farmers’ earnings often fail to fairly compensate their labor. The government prioritizes this issue and aims to ensure that most income goes directly to farmers, the primary producers. Regarding irrigation, the Prime Minister stressed that there is no obstacle to approval now that he holds the office. He promised to develop irrigation systems, especially in the central region that receives water from the north, to plan and prevent recurring floods effectively.
Anutin said that Praphat was Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives since the time he was a child. Now that Anutin has reached his 60th birthday, Praphat could comfortably stay at home but chose to serve as a representative of Suphan Buri people without fatigue or giving up. Today is Praphat’s birthday, and he recently joined Bhumjaithai Party for the first term. From now on, Anutin said he will mark 1 Aug as a day reserved for Suphan Buri, recognizing Praphat’s importance to him and the people. Suphan Buri is important to Anutin as party leader. He urged Suphan Buri voters to nearly give all MPs to Bhumjaithai, leaving only one from another party, but he hopes next time to win all seats in the province. Having only one MP from another party makes work less flexible. Politics involves many issues, but with the government in power, they will treat all citizens equally regardless of MPs’ party. However, having MPs from the same party in the province allows more effective progress. He expressed deep gratitude to the Suphan Buri people for supporting Bhumjaithai MPs for the first time in the province.
Anutin said he has a close, brotherly relationship with Suphan Buri MPs, following respected elders since former Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa’s time. He praised the road and urban planning in Doem Bang Nang Buat District as an excellent example of city layout and transportation systems, which if replicated nationwide would make Thailand strong and secure. Although one MP seat was lost in Suphan Buri, gaining the prime ministership is a position for Suphan Buri people. Suphan Buri is not just Banharn’s province; Anutin is also regarded as a Prime Minister from Suphan Buri. Afterwards, the Prime Minister toured the low-cost rice planting demonstration site by tram.
Next, the Prime Minister visited Wat Doem Bang (Khongkharam) in Doem Bang Nang Buat District to pay respects to Thao Wessuwan, the Golden-faced Deity, to seek auspiciousness for his mission. He led the group in worship using large incense sticks numbered 996. Thao Wessuwan is popularly worshiped by the public for luck and success in work.
