On 1 August 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ploy Thale Laksamisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, responded to Ms. Phakmon Noon Anan, a party-list MP and spokesperson for the People’s Party, who criticized the need to adjust Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s leadership rather than reshuffling the cabinet. She insisted the Prime Minister is a highly mature leader focused on solving domestic and international issues swiftly and concretely.
The Deputy Spokesperson confirmed that the issues raised by the People’s Party spokesperson—oil hoarding, local examination corruption, and Senate vote rigging—are being seriously investigated following proper procedures, denying any neglect as alleged. She noted understanding that, as opposition, the People’s Party spokesperson lacks access to see the Prime Minister’s work and directives in meetings, emphasizing that the Prime Minister does not merely talk but closely follows up and regularly calls agencies to report progress.
Ms. Ploy Thale also rejected allegations of a “godchild proportion cabinet,” affirming all ministers are knowledgeable and work to their full potential, especially in tangible efforts to suppress influential figures.
